Primary Location Burnet Campus Department Sterile Procedure & Distrib Shift Evening (United States of America) Schedule Full time Weekly Hours 40 FTE 1 Employee Status Regular *Expected Starting Pay Range $19.00 - $22.89 *Starting pay is based on experience, skills, and equity; exceptions may apply for highly qualified candidates. Additional pay (e.g., shift, on-call, or weekend differentials) and benefits may apply. Annual pay may vary based on FTE status. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES * Instrumentation - Using manual or mechanical means, cleans a variety of equipment and instruments at the appropriate level for patient care. Stores or assembles instruments into trays and case carts for distribution. * Sterile Processing - Uses defined processes to disinfect and/or sterilize equipment and instruments according to the type of equipment and the manufacturer's instructions for use. May inspect, assemble and/or test equipment prior to storage or transportation. * Equipment Management - Accurately maintains documentation and ensures equipment is appropriately processed to ensure timely availability. Records and reports malfunctioning equipment and damaged instrumentation, scopes and endoscopes, and other supplies. * Quality and Process Improvement - Participates in quality assurance activities and process improvement projects. * Workflow - Contributes to the efficiency of daily workflow. Performs high level disinfection (HLD) and/or sterilization of equipment and instruments for clinical and surgical procedures according to designated processing team.
