College Experience Supervisor

Salary: $20.80 - $22.15

Position Overview: The Program Supervisor oversees daily operations across Community Learning Centers, Day Hab/Pre‑Voc, Community Habilitation, and Recreation programs by supervising DSPs, coordinating staffing, supporting training and hiring, and ensuring services meet OPWDD standards for meaningful, person‑centered habilitation. They monitor documentation and billing, maintain compliance with agency policies, assist with community outings and skill‑building activities, implement health and behavior plans, and support routine site maintenance. The role also conducts QA checks, fire drills, meetings, and recreational planning while fostering strong communication with families, staff, and participants and modeling professionalism, teamwork, and agency values. Schedule: M-F; 730am-330pm; Flexibility in schedule required to meet agency needs.

Responsibilities

  • Works independently of the site Manager. Communicates any issues and needs to the correct parties, and is responsible for day to day operation of the site. Serves as primary supervisor for assigned staff.

  • Ensures individual plans support community participation and contribution. Ensures that specific valued outcomes frequency for each individual is met. Is involved in regular and assigned QA checks. Informs staff of documentation to be completed and follows up ensuring its completion. Verifies signature sheet is accurate and up-to-date. Evaluates and reviews daily billing documentation.

  • Accompanies individuals to off-site activities or in the community to provide general supervision, skills training, or assistance as may be necessary including grocery shopping, banking, recreation, entertainment, medical appointments. Assists in planning group leisure activities, recreational events, and outings. May conduct site meetings, maintaining minutes and providing feedback on participant requests. Completes recreation calendar and site newsletter, and distributes, as applicable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and over one year relevant experience or an equivalent amount of education/experience.

  • Field-specific experience preferred.

  • NYS driver's license and safe driving record for 1 full year prior to hire date
