Full job description

Our client, food production is seeking a Packing Worker to join their team. As a Packing Worker, you will be part of the production team supporting the line and packaging operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow safety and food quality standards consistently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Packing Worker

Location: Ferndale, WA

Pay Range: $19.00

Shift:3:30pm-1:30am

What's the Job?

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle raw materials and perform tasks such as defrosting, hooking, hanging, racking, cutting, stuffing, weighing, scaling, labeling, boxing, and palletizing

  • Load and unload materials onto racks, carts, and conveyors

  • Move products between different temperature areas using carts or racks

  • Prepare products for vacuum processing and packaging

  • Inspect product for quality and consistency, ensuring company standards are met

  • Report any defects or issues with materials, products, or equipment to the supervisor

  • Follow all food safety guidelines, including HACCP, USDA, and FDA regulations

  • Assist with Sanitation processes as needed

  • Record production data, such as product counts and weights if applicable

  • Communicate effectively with line leads, supervisors, and other team members about production or challenges

What's Needed?

  • Previous experience in food processing or manufacturing (preferred but not required).

  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices (training provided).

  • Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to quality.

  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs regularly and work in cold or hot environments while performing repetitive tasks accurately.
