Electrical Engineer

What You'll Do: As an Electrical Engineer at Peter Basso Associates, you'll join project teams working with top architects, contractors, and facility owners across diverse markets - education, healthcare, research, institutional, multi-family, and mixed-use. You'll apply creative solutions to complex challenges and contribute to projects from concept through construction. What We Are Looking For: We're seeking well-rounded professionals with the following abilities. - Engineer and design electrical building systems specifically focused in one or all of these areas. {=html} - - Power Distribution Systems, including medium and low voltage distribution systems, standby power applications, load calculations, short circuit and coordination studies, arc flash hazard. - Lighting Systems, including calculations, lighting controls, luminaire selections and architecturally integrated lighting systems. - Auxiliary Systems, including fire alarm systems, voice/data structured cabling systems, access control, CCTV and other low voltage systems design. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an engineering-related curriculum from a US accredited college or university. {=html} - Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical commercial building system design. {=html} - Having passed the Fundamental of Engineering exam, PE preferred. - Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit. - Thorough understanding of the coordination aspects of all design disciplines and impact on the project. - Team-oriented problem-solving skills and decision-making ability. - Detail oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible. - Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
