Inside Sales Representative (Northeast)

Job Responsibilities 1. Works closely with sales teams to provide general administrative sales support to ensure contract terms and assists customers with pre-sale inquiries in addition to order fulfillment. 2. Responsible for processing and managing customer purchase orders and entering orders at the appropriate location. Attention to detail is a must on order entry. 3. Coordinate the purchase orders with plant locations, reload yards, procurement and logistics so that customer due dates are satisfied. 4. Must comply with Sox standards for accurate documentation. 5. Responsible for handling telephone inquiries from customers. 6. Provide superior customer service by anticipating customer needs and provide proactive solutions. 7. Provide monthly reconciliation of reload yard inventory to ensure accuracy of the inventory. 8. Assist in coverage while other inside sales representatives are out of the office. 9. Follow procedures established by Koppers Credit and Finance Departments 10. Complete occasional visits to a plant to assist in physical inventories and training. 11. Provide support of customer restoration efforts during storms/emergencies by entering orders and assisting in the restoration which will require on occasion to work nights, weekends and holidays. 12. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 1. High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in sales/marketing or related field preferred 2. 1-3 years of experience in customer service or inside sales 3. Excellent customer service skills 4. Ability to analyze, read, and write general business reports 5. Basic knowledge of financial reports 6. An ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers 7. Strong team player 8. Must have high attention to detail 9. Proficient use of Microsoft Office Products 10. For remote position - must have reliable Wi-Fi 11. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks 12.
