Process Control Systems Engineer

Location: Coatesville, PA Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for Process Control Systems Engineer at our Coatesville, PA facility. The Process Control Systems Engineer is part of the Maintenance, Environmental, and Utilities Division and is responsible for working directly with a large variety of computer and automation control systems responsible for steel processing models, mill event tracking, environmental compliance, quality, and production data collection and reporting. Summary of Responsibilities 1. Responsible for ensuring individual safety standards. 2. Design, programming, documentation and support for the existing Level 2 (application and HMI) system. 3. Transition level 2 system from VMS based platforms to virtual VMS and Windows platforms. 4. Responsible for addressing issues that may impact production or system reliability. Implement system upgrades. 5. Proactively handle quality and reliability issues. 6. Work with vendors on products and performance issues 7. Staying current with technology advancements in industrial controls. 8. Support environmental activity, continuous improvement, and corporate initiatives 9. Identify and manage activities necessary to maintain equipment to tightest industry standards, enabling the production of the highest quality steel used in demanding applications. 10. Communicate with outside departments within the plant and in other Cleveland Cliffs facilities to ensure a continuous operational flow. 11. Various other duties as needed to support the business. Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Computing Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) in an engineering/computer related field.
