Residential Wiring Instructor Employment Training for Adults

Number of Positions: Continuous RecruitmentSalary: $25.50 - $35.00 per hourLocation: Southern Adirondack Education Center, Hudson Falls and/or F. Donald Myers Education Center, Saratoga SpringsWork Hours: Flexible scheduling of evenings * Responsible for teaching Basic Residential Wiring and/or Advanced Residential Wiring courses using instructional methods geared toward the adult learner in a classroom setting. * Plan lessons and curriculum based on the learning needs of culturally diverse and multi-skill level students which prepare students to gain/increase skills in the area of Residential Wiring. * Responsible for teaching all elements of house wiring, laws of electricity, building codes, wiring, testing and troubleshooting (Basic) * Responsible for teaching advanced wiring techniques, service entrances, panel wiring, circuit bending, and codes (Advanced) * Plan and prepare relevant and practical class lessons and monitor students' performance. * Implement a variety of instructional delivery methods that include group or individualized instruction as well as computer programs that help students make learning gains. * Create a climate that encourages and supports learning. * Complete and maintain appropriate student registration, attendance, and assessment records * Responsible for effective classroom management that enhances student learning * Perform other duties as assignedJob Qualifications * Associates degree or demonstrated experience in the Residential Wiring discipline. * Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply
