Position Summary

The Learning and Development Coordinator will play a key role in the design and execution of onboarding and upskilling programs for all staff at MGMC. By aligning learning initiatives with organizational goals, this role will collaborate with stakeholders on onboarding, upskilling, and leadership development efforts to meet the evolving business needs. This role will coordinate orientation and competency compliance programs, manage education and competency standards, and lead initiatives supporting organizational growth and professional development. This individual will work with subject matter experts to refine learning content, assess program effectiveness, and optimize learning technologies, while serving as the primary administrator of the organization's learning management and digital competency management systems.

Position Responsibilities

Unit Specific Position Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders on the design and execution of onboarding and upskilling programs. Lead specific initiatives in response to evolving business needs, ensuring alignment with strategic organizational goals.

  • Lead the coordination of orientation and annual competency compliance program, advising leaders and educators on competency deficiencies, and partnering with them to develop actionable plans to address gaps.

  • Support the development and coordination of professional and leadership development programs that directly support organizational growth, professional development, leadership development, and strategic objectives.

  • Oversees the learning and competency management system administration and ensures computer-based learning programs are effective. Monitors compliance to ensure regulatory requirements are met and in alignment with business needs.

  • Oversees the Growth and Development Program administration and utilization reporting to ensure accuracy and consistency in collaboration with the Foundation.

  • Collaborates with Quality and Nursing Professional Development to manage and enforce education and competency standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Collaborates and consults with department leaders and educators on learning and development needs and programs.

  • Fosters inclusive learning practices by integrating accessibility and assistive technologies into learning solutions, ensuring all learners can engage and succeed.

  • Serve as an escalation contact and administrator of the organization’s learning management system and digital competency management system.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

Required Qualifications (Including any licensure, certification, education):

Bachelor’s degree in business management, healthcare management, human resources, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in Talent Development

  • 1-3+ years of experience in Human Resources, or other related field

  •  Strong organizational and project management skills

  •  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  •  Exceptional follow up and follow through skills

  •  Prior experience with Learning Management System and Content Authoring Tools

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team structure across the organization

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

  • Experience with course design using Articulate
