THE JOB The People Operations Generalist will be involved in all aspects of the team member lifecycle, from recruiting to operational tasks and onboarding/off-boarding. The People Team is agile and hands-on, unafraid to roll up their sleeves, and continually evolve and adapt to meet our team member and company needs. We are looking for someone who can flex from one aspect of the team member lifecycle to another while staying curious.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO
- Support the onboarding and off-boarding experience.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews and own candidate communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Effectively communicate with team members across all departments on various topics, and provide backup support for time-sensitive People Operations tasks, ensuring seamless continuity.
- Draft clear and engaging internal communications, newsletters, and presentations.
- Serve as a point of contact for team member questions and concerns.
- Assist with the execution of key people initiatives, like performance reviews, benefits enrollment, feedback systems, all-company meetings, and more.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of people-related processes and initiatives.
- Assist the Head of People with day-to-day work, ad-hoc requests, or projects across candidate and team member experience.
- Help scale the People function by ensuring our systems, processes, and documentation are updated, accurate, and effective.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN TEAM MEMBERS
- A proactive and highly organized individual with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt your style to different audiences.
- A natural ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with people at all levels.
- Comfort and proficiency with software and tools, with a strong aptitude and curiosity for learning new systems and exploring new technologies, like artificial intelligence tools. Experience with Slack is a significant plus.
- A collaborative team player who is eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and demonstrate strong self-awareness, with the capacity to give and receive feedback constructively.
WHAT YOU HAVE
- Some experience working in an HR or People-related role is a plus.
- Recruiting experience is an extra plus!
- Must be able to work in our Detroit office at least 2 days each week. May be required to be in more frequently from time to time.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS The US base salary for this full-time position is determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
