Summary:

Meta's Global Data Center Economic Development team is seeking a Content Manager to lead the creation and management of community and economic development communications for Meta's global data center portfolio. In this role, you will develop compelling, accurate, and strategically aligned content that articulates the economic, workforce, and community impact of Meta's data center investments to external stakeholders, local governments, community organizations, and the public. You will serve as a content authority at the staff level, shaping narratives that support site development, permitting, and community engagement efforts across Meta's infrastructure expansion.

Required Skills:

Data Center Content Manager, Community and Economic Development Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage a comprehensive content strategy for community and economic development communications tied to Meta's data center siting, permitting, and construction lifecycle

  2. Author and edit high-quality written materials including community impact reports, economic benefit analyses, stakeholder briefings, fact sheets, and public-facing narratives for data center projects

  3. Collaborate with site development, public affairs, government relations, and legal teams to ensure content accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project timelines and regulatory requirements

  4. Translate complex economic impact data, workforce development metrics, and infrastructure investment figures into accessible content for diverse audiences including local officials, community groups, and media

  5. Establish and maintain a content governance framework that standardizes messaging, terminology, and data presentation across Meta's global data center portfolio

  6. Partner with regional community engagement and global economic development leads to capture localized project stories and integrate them into broader corporate narratives

  7. Lead the development of content for economic development negotiations, local hiring commitments, and other regulatory or public accountability documents and presentations

  8. Define content production workflows, editorial calendars, and quality standards for Meta's data centers

  9. Provide content strategy guidance and editorial direction to cross-functional contributors and communications partners working on data center-related materials

  10. Track and synthesize emerging trends in data center community relations, economic development policy, and infrastructure communications to inform content positioning

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of experience in content strategy, communications, or public affairs with a focus on infrastructure, economic development, real estate, energy, or a related capital-intensive industry

  2. Experience developing stakeholder-facing content that communicates economic impact, community investment, or workforce development outcomes for large-scale infrastructure or development projects

  3. Experience collaborating with government relations, legal, and site development teams to produce regulatory, permitting, or public accountability communications

  4. Experience establishing content governance frameworks, editorial standards, or messaging architectures across complex, multi-site or multi-region programs

  5. Experience translating quantitative economic or operational data into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences including elected officials, community organizations, and the general public

  1. Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

  2. Familiarity with economic impact methodologies, community benefit agreements, or local government permitting processes relevant to infrastructure development

  3. Experience supporting economic development communications specifically for data center, utility, energy, or large-scale real estate development projects

  4. Experience managing content programs at a global scale across multiple concurrent development projects in different regulatory environments

  5. Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

  6. Track record of building and leading content functions within a corporate real estate, infrastructure development, or government affairs organization

  7. Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

Public Compensation:

$160,000/year to $232,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
