Summary
As a Support Services Specialist at the GS-0342-12, you will be part of the Central Services Division, Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). If selected, you will be responsible for the management of property, inventory, leased and government-owned fleet (vehicles), and support service operations related to facilities operations and support service programs for agency operations.
Duties
- Conducts concurrent and complex analysis on an extensive and wide range of support services, facilities, property management, fleet management, and administrative activities and issues.
- Evaluates policies, procedures, and field operations to identify issues, recommends improvements, and supports effective and efficient program performance.
- Serves as Contracting Officer’s Representative by monitoring vendor performance, reviewing invoices, preparing funding documents, and supporting contract compliance.
- Coordinates and implements agency-wide projects and operational plans involving facilities and property management, fleet management, support services, and nationwide office activities.
- Conducts property management activities including excess property coordination, GSAXcess actions, inventory reviews, fixed asset updates, and certification processes.
Qualifications
For the GS-12: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower level in the normal line of progression that demonstrated knowledge of the methods and procedures for providing or performing a variety of functions and services applicable to the position to be filled; ability to plan, organize, and control work involving diverse activities; ability to gain cooperation and coordinate the work of others; and skill in oral and written communications.Examples of qualifying specialized experience include providing guidance on property, inventory, space management, leased and government-owned fleet (vehicles) and support service operations related to facilities operations and services; evaluating policies, procedures, and field activities to identify issues, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with applicable building management and property operations requirements. Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS- 12 level. Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements (e.g., time-in-grade and qualification requirements) within 30 days of the closing date specified in the vacancy announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
How You Will Be Evaluated

A Subject Matter Expert (SME) or SME Panel will be utilized to assist in the technical evaluation of candidates' qualifications. The successful candidate will also be enrolled into FBI's Rap Back service, which will allow the EEOC to receive notification from the FBI of criminal matters (e.g., arrests, charges, convictions) involving enrolled individuals in near real-time.
