Job Duties
-
Install and repair commercial roofing systems, flashings, vapor barriers, and roof surfaces.

Remove old roofing materials and prepare roofs for new installations (tear-off, sweeping, cleaning).

Load and unload materials; set ladders, scaffolds, hoists, flag lines, and guardrail systems.
-
Lay insulation, install roofing membranes, glue, prime, roll walls/seams, and nail off roof edges.

Properly install air/vapor barriers, drains, tapered insulation systems, crickets, walk pads/pavers, termination bars, counter-flashings, and all roof-related details.

Perform detailed work including corners, wraps, boots, curbs, crickets, and penetrations for EPDM and thermoplastic systems.

Operate rooftop equipment, power tools, and safety devices; perform nightly seal-offs.

Manage job site inventory, equipment inspection, and equipment maintenance.

Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.

Communicate with clients, vendors, crew members, and management regarding project needs, progress, and changes.

Lead, direct, and train crew members; manage daily workflow and project durations.

Submit daily reports and videos as required.

Assist with change orders by communicating labor and material needs.

Perform additional day-to-day duties as assigned.
Safety Duties
-
Ensure all personnel follow OSHA and company safety guidelines.
-
Act as a safety monitor; maintain all fall protection systems.
-
Protect pedestrians, client buildings, and equipment during construction.
-
Signal cranes and forklifts when required.
-
Maintain, use, and enforce proper PPE usage.
-
Set up and maintain ladders, scaffolds, hoists, flag lines, and perimeter guard rails.
Minimum Education Required
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred but not required.
Minimum Experience Required
-
Strong experience in commercial roofing (required).
-
Must be physically able to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform strenuous outdoor labor.

Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
-
Experience operating roofing tools, rooftop equipment, and fall protection systems.
-
Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening, and background check.
-
Strong attention to detail, disciplined work habits, and a commitment to completing tasks correctly and on time.
-
Demonstrated leadership ability and experience directing or mentoring a crew (preferred).
-
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong communication skills.
