The Opportunity

The Product Management Advisor Internship is an outstanding program where you’ll get to learn from experienced professionals and gain hands-on-experience in the Life Company organization supporting our Annuities products.

The Product Management Advisor Intern will support the analysis of product profitability, competitiveness, and sales performance. This role provides hands-on experience compiling, analyzing, and interpreting data to deliver insights that support business objectives. The intern will work closely with Product Managers, analysts, and cross-functional partners while gaining exposure to Agile methodologies, product lifecycle management, and business analytics.

The internships will be based at the USAA Corporate Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. Interns offered full-time roles may have the opportunity to work out of one of USAA’s satellite locations.

What you'll do:

Our Interns work under direct supervision and follow risk and compliance procedures and guidance, perform routine work assignments and problem resolution to support other team members, including the following tasks:

  • Support the collection, compilation, and analysis of data related to product profitability, competitive positioning, and sales performance.

  • Assist in monitoring product performance and identifying trends within sales, customer feedback, and business metrics.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal, Digital Platforms, and IT to gather information and support business initiatives.

  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and market opportunities to support product strategy discussions.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to ensure data accuracy and visibility.

  • Support the preparation of analyses and presentations used for business planning, forecasting, and decision-making.

  • Learn and apply basic statistical and analytical techniques to generate insights under the guidance of experienced team members.

  • Participate in Agile team activities, team meetings, and project discussions.

  • Assist with identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.

  • Adhere to risk management, compliance, and company policies in all activities.

What you need to have:

To qualify, you must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university, and plan to graduate after the final day of the internship. Most of our interns participate the summer between their junior and senior years. Our 2027 internship will start on June 2, 2027 and last through August 13, 2027.

  • Graduation date cannot be prior to August 13, 2027

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Marketing.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to present to peers and leaders

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $25 - $33 . Interns will receive an intern stipend to assist with expenses.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the hourly range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual hourly rate for this role may vary by location.
