Chaplains provide spiritual care to patients, families and caregivers, fostering spiritual resources for healing. Spiritual care is a component of healing, so meeting others where they are and helping them during troubled waters is a vital part of a Chaplain's role.

A caregiver in this position works nights from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide education and consultation for physicians, nurses, and other caregivers.

• Provide spiritual care and counseling for patients, families and caregivers of all faith groups, ages and conditions.

• Foster spiritual resources for healing.

• Provide crisis and ongoing care.

• Work regular and on-call hours.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Satisfactory completion of a minimum of four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education

• OR Bachelor's degree, 3 years of ministry experience & satisfactory completion of one (1) or two (2) units of Clinical Pastoral Education with expectation to get four (4) CPEs within two (2) years of hire

• Credentialing, certification, or eligibility within two (2) years by a certifying organization or certification as an Association of Clinical Pastor Education (ACPE educator)

• One (1) year of ministry experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Master's degree of Divinity or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to climb stairs, pull, push and facilitate movement of the patient.

• Must have normal or correctable vision and hearing to be able to hear normal conversations.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $20.77

Maximum hourly: $31.68

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
