Pay or shift range: $122,500 USD to $160,000 USD

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

SALARY RANGE: $122,500 - $160,000

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

The role of the Data Solutions Architect is to help lead the transition of the bank from a fragmented, manually organized data landscape into a modern, centralized ecosystem. This role will help define and implement the tech stack needed to execute our Data Strategy and Governance Framework, working with business lines to provide data and insight needed to drive value in their areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Identify and locate key/critical data sets across core systems and databases, own the data map, flow, and definitions

  • Participate in executing our Data Governance Framework, educating and working with key players on their roles and responsibilities

  • Work vendor SDKs, REST APIs, JavaScript, Python, and database query languages to interface with bank systems and vendors

  • Create and maintain data and reporting solutions that support the long term data strategy

  • Create and maintain scalable infrastructure to support the collection, storage, and reporting of data.

  • Facilitate the canonicalization of core data sets, informing process and configuration changes

  • Interface with cloud data storage services like Google Cloud Platform via BigQuery and similar

  • Asist in creating standard definitions, data models, and design schemas, helping align disparate data sets and creating new ones

  • Ensures safety and confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to the Bank’s Information Security policies.

  • Active participation in demonstrating the behaviors outlined in the GRB Experience.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in IT/Data related field and a minimum of 6 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or business intelligence solutions architecture, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Strong experience ETL technologies, front and backend development, Python or other automation language

  • Experience with progression through the early stages of data governance highly preferred

  • High level of proficiency in working with large data sets

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and out-of-the-box thinking

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
