About Brelle

Energy for what moves us. The next generation of vehicles and aircraft won't be built with yesterday's manufacturing playbook. Brelle is building a new approach to manufacturing for an increasingly electrified world, bringing together advanced engineering, software, testing, and automated production to develop and build high-performance energy and powertrain systems. We're a California based, venture backed team working with some of the most demanding names in high performance mobility, including supercars and superbikes. Our work spans novel battery pack architecture, full-stack software, and automated manufacturing, with the goal of making machines lighter, safer, and more capable. We're building something ambitious, and we're still early. That means real ownership, difficult technical problems, and the opportunity to see your work move from an idea to something real. We value people who think beyond their job description, challenge conventional approaches, and follow through on what they take on. Build something exceptional. Own your work. See it move.

About the Opportunity Brelle welcomes applications from students interested in internship and co-op opportunities across engineering and related technical disciplines. This posting provides a centralized opportunity for us to connect with promising early-career talent and consider candidates for placements aligned with our evolving project and team needs. As an intern or co-op student, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge to real engineering challenges, contribute to the development of next-generation energy and powertrain systems, and learn alongside a team working at the forefront of electrified performance. We’re looking for curious, driven individuals who enjoy solving difficult problems, take ownership of their work, and thrive in a fast-moving, hands-on engineering environment.

Areas of Opportunity Depending on your background, technical interests, and the needs of the team, opportunities may span areas such as:

  • Mechanical Engineering & CAD: Create and update 3D models, assemblies, detailed 2D engineering drawings, and mechanical designs; support design iteration and development.

  • Electrical Engineering: Support electrical design, component integration, wiring and harnesses, and related electrical systems.

  • Systems Engineering: Contribute to system architecture, requirements development, component integration, and cross-functional engineering coordination.

  • Prototyping, Testing & Validation: Support prototype builds, test setup and execution, data collection, troubleshooting, and design validation.

  • Manufacturing & Production Engineering: Contribute to design for manufacturability, assembly processes, tooling, production methods, and process improvement.

  • Software & Controls: Support embedded systems, controls, data analysis, automation, and software development for energy and powertrain systems.

Specific responsibilities will depend on the placement, your skills, and the projects you support. Not every area will have an active opening at all times.

What You'll Bring

  • Current enrollment in a college or university program in engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • Strong technical fundamentals and a genuine interest in building, testing, and improving real-world systems.

  • A hands-on, analytical approach to solving challenging problems, with a willingness to question assumptions and explore better solutions.

  • Initiative, attention to detail, and a willingness to take ownership of your work and follow through on commitments.

  • The ability to collaborate across disciplines, communicate openly, and consider the broader team’s needs while making meaningful progress independently.

  • The ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute in a fast-moving environment.

Relevant technical projects, personal builds, research, laboratory experience, CAD proficiency, programming experience, or previous internships are valuable. Experience with engineering design, prototyping, manufacturing processes, or design for manufacturability may be particularly relevant, depending on the placement. We’re interested in what you’ve built, how you approach problems, and how you apply your skills—not just what’s listed on your resume.

Internship & Co-Op Details Placements may be structured as internships or co-op terms, depending on the candidate’s academic program and the needs of the business. Placement duration, start date, schedule, and specific responsibilities will be determined based on the opportunity. Candidates should indicate their field of study, technical interests, anticipated availability, and preferred placement duration when applying.

Compensation & Benefits Internship and Co-Op placements are paid positions. Compensation will be determined based on the specific placement, relevant experience, and other applicable factors. Benefits include:

  • Team meals twice a week

  • Monthly team events

  • A well-stocked kitchen with snacks and drinks

  • One-time $500 stipend to help offset expenses during your placement

How to Apply Submit your application using the Apply button below. We review applications based on candidates’ skills, technical interests, and alignment with current and anticipated team needs. If a suitable opportunity arises, our team may reach out to discuss next steps.
