RECORD SUPPORT SPECIALIST I: Support attorneys by coordinating critical records for Lexitas, where organized, responsive communicators excel.

LOCATION: This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Bryan office located at 301 N Main Street, Bryan, TX 77803.

PAY RATE: $16/hr

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Records Support Specialist I to join our Records Production team. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of legal support operations—responsible for coordinating the retrieval of essential records for attorneys engaged in civil litigation. Your work directly supports our commitment to timely, accurate, and confidential service delivery.

Lexitas is a rapidly growing national provider of legal and corporate support services, including court reporting, medical record retrieval, process service, and corporate filings. Our mission is to deliver unmatched service with integrity, professionalism, and responsiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Make 80–100 outbound calls daily to facilitate record collection.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all correspondence with clients and record holders.

  • Coordinate with Account Managers to ensure seamless fulfillment of record requests.

  • Provide daily written status updates to clients.

  • Manage an active caseload of 350–375 open orders.

  • Uphold HIPAA compliance and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive medical and legal records.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • A team player with strong attention to detail and a high degree of organization.

  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and can adapt to shifting priorities.

  • A proactive communicator who can think quickly and respond effectively to client needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Familiarity with subpoenas, written depositions, and affidavits is a plus.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Windows.

  • Legal terminology experience preferred but not required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is not a supervisor position.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers whose first language is English.
