Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Workday Financials Report Writer to design, develop, and support complex financial reporting and analytics solutions within the Workday Financials platform. This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, and operational stakeholders to deliver scalable reporting solutions that support business operations, compliance requirements, and executive decision-making.
This position is ideal for a Workday Financials expert who enjoys transforming business requirements into meaningful data insights and reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Workday Financials reports, including Advanced, Matrix, and Composite Reports.

Build and support financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports within Workday.

Create dashboards and Discovery Boards that provide actionable financial insights.

Develop and maintain Worksheets and OfficeConnect reports to support financial planning, analysis, and external reporting.

Gather reporting requirements from Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders and translate them into effective solutions.

Perform data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting to ensure reporting accuracy.

Enhance and optimize existing reporting solutions for performance, usability, and governance.

Provide user support, training, and guidance related to Workday Financials reporting tools.

Ensure compliance with reporting standards, security requirements, and data governance practices.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
-
5+ years of hands-on Workday reporting experience.
-
5-7 years of experience supporting Workday Financials environments.
-
Experience participating in at least two full-cycle Workday Financials implementations.
-
Active Workday Financials certification in a Financials functional area (R2R, P2P, C2C, or related certification).
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience within healthcare, hospital, or health system environments.
-
Knowledge of healthcare financial operations and reporting.
-
Experience with Workday Prism Analytics and/or Accounting Center.
-
Experience supporting large-scale Workday Financials implementations.
-
Understanding of Workday security concepts and financial reporting access controls.

Experience with Microsoft reporting and automation tools, including:

Power BI
-
Power Apps
-
Power Automate
-
Ability to integrate Workday reporting data with analytics and automation platforms to improve reporting efficiency and business insights.
