Propane Service Tech

Job Duties

Position Objective: In this job, the team member will install, inspect and service propane tanks, equipment and systems and provide outstanding customer service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Install, inspect and service customer propane tanks equipment and systems following all codes of standards and regulations.

Ensure customer satisfaction.

Educate customers on the safe use of propane and appliances.

Accurately complete all invoices and related paperwork in a timely manner.

Make routine sales calls

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Report all maintenance items to supervisor.

Maintain equipment in operational and cleanly appearances at all times.

Assist with other operations – propane delivery

Know and follow all company safety policies/procedure. Perform work in a safe manner while observing all traffic laws and all OSHA state and federal safety regulations

Represent yourself and CFS professionally at all times in action and appearance.

Make decisions and follow instructions with little or no supervision

Perform other duties and projects as requested by supervisor or management

Minimum Education Required

One year relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.

Minimum Experience Required

Licensing, Certification and Qualification:

One year relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, customers and the general public.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Self- motivated/self -directed.

Ability to make independent judgments, which have moderate impacts on the organization.

Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks.

Maintain a valid CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements. Maintain air brake endorsement with class B CDL.

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
