You will be part of a global laboratory where different perspectives and experiences will help you solve problems in new ways. This is where you can build a long and wide-ranging career.

About The Role

We are seeking a technically strong, highly motivated Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our Software Quality organization.

The ideal candidate combines a solid software engineering background with strong analytical skills, technical program management experience, and hands-on expertise in AI and automation.

We are particularly interested in individuals who embrace emerging technologies, challenge traditional ways of working, and can independently develop AI-powered tools and solutions to improve engineering efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Strong technical background in software development, firmware, software quality, or systems engineering. Experience working with complex software systems and cross-functional engineering teams. Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, CI/CD, version control, software testing, and quality engineering practices. Experience with Jira, Git, Jenkins, or comparable engineering tools. Strong scripting or programming skills, preferably Python. Hands-on experience with generative AI, LLMs, and AI-powered automation. Ability to design, develop, and integrate AI agents, bots, and automated workflows using APIs and modern AI frameworks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex technical information. Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently, influence cross-functional teams, and drive technical decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with embedded software, Android, Linux, or connected devices. Background in software integration, SDET, DevOps, or release engineering. Familiarity with AI agent frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or Semantic Kernel. Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP), tool calling, RAG, and multi-agent workflows. Experience integrating AI solutions with engineering platforms and development tools. Knowledge of automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and software quality metrics. Experience applying AI to software development, testing, debugging, or engineering productivity. Prior technical program management or technical leadership experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We value candidates who are:

Technically hands-on: Comfortable understanding code, troubleshooting technical issues, and building practical solutions. AI-native: Actively using AI in their daily work and capable of creating agents and bots, not simply writing prompts. Analytical: Able to assess complex technical problems and make sound, evidence-based decisions. Proactive: Identify opportunities for improvement and take ownership without waiting for instructions. Influential: Confident working with experienced engineers and technical leaders. Adaptable: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving technologies and priorities.

We are looking for builders and problem solvers who can combine engineering discipline, technical leadership, and AI innovation to help shape the future of software quality.

Salary: $110,000- $150,000 Compensation & Benefits (Full-Time Employees)

The salary range for this role is listed above. Final salary offered is based upon multiple factors including individual job-related qualifications, education, experience, knowledge and skills.

At HP, we offer a competitive and comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Health insurance

  • Dental insurance

  • Vision insurance

  • Long term/short term disability insurance

  • Employee assistance program

  • Flexible spending account

  • Life insurance

  • Generous time off policies, including;

  • 4-12 weeks fully paid parental leave based on tenure

  • 11 paid holidays
