Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us challenge the status quo and transform the finance industry together.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

Schwab Asset Management (SAM) and the Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR) deliver trusted investment insights that help advisors, clients, and business partners make informed decisions. Within SAM’s Asset Management Infrastructure organization, the Investment Research Platform team enables Schwab’s proprietary research to be managed, governed, distributed, discovered, and consumed at scale through shared platforms, standards, and capabilities.

As a product leader, you will guide the evolution of Schwab’s research content capabilities so trusted insights can reach people, platforms, and emerging AI-powered experiences. This is an individual contributor product leadership role.

What You’ll Do

  • Evolve capabilities that support the research content lifecycle, strengthening metadata, taxonomy, governance, discoverability, and stewardship to support enterprise reuse.

  • Define product vision, roadmap priorities, and measures of success for research content management and distribution across platforms, applications, data services, and emerging channels.

  • Align research, product, technology, risk, and compliance teams on priorities and investment tradeoffs, balancing innovation with operational stability.

  • Help enable AI-powered experiences by applying content standards, permissions, lineage, and knowledge delivery practices.

  • Analyze consumer needs, adoption patterns, and operational insights to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives from concept through delivery.

What you have

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant experience translating business and operational needs into platform or product capabilities that drive measurable outcomes

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives, including planning, prioritization, sequencing, and dependency management

  • Experience defining product vision, roadmaps, priorities, and measures of success

  • Strong understanding of content management, metadata, governance, information architecture, knowledge management, data management, or related disciplines

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to identify root causes, evaluate tradeoffs, and develop scalable solutions

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate, adapt, and influence across research, business, technology, operations, legal, risk, and compliance organizations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in investment management, investment research, wealth management, or related financial services environments

  • Experience with content management, publishing, knowledge management, or digital asset management platforms

  • Experience supporting enterprise content distribution through APIs, data services, file-based delivery, or other integration patterns

  • Familiarity with modern AI concepts and technologies, including enterprise search, retrieval-based architectures, knowledge delivery platforms, and AI-powered user experiences

  • Understanding of governance, lineage, auditability, and regulatory considerations within controlled enterprise environments

  • Experience using adoption, discoverability, quality, reliability, and operational effectiveness measures to inform product decisions and continuous improvement

  • Experience working in Agile or Scaled Agile environments

  • Product, Agile, or related professional certifications

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
