Full job description
About MITO AI: MITO AI is a collaborative, AI-native platform reinventing how films, commercials, and music videos are made. We are building the operating system for a $300B+ global video production industry shifting to AI-native workflows. Based between San Francisco and Madrid, MITO combines state-of-the-art AI models for image, video, and audio with professional-grade agentic editing tools in a multiplayer, browser-based canvas. Individuals and teams can bring ideas to life by directing AI agents to create scenes and edit in real time. MITO was founded by Iñaki Berenguer (MIT, PhD Cambridge, 5x founder — Pixable acquired by SingTel, CoverWallet $300M exit, iPronics $50M raised), Danny Saltaren (product designer at 2 unicorns, National Design Award), and Arantxa Barcia (award-winning filmmaker). We are backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners, and other investors including Kibo Ventures, K Fund, Sequoia and a16z scouts, LifeX, Everywhere, 5 unicorn founders, and execs from GitHub and Roblox.
The Role: As MITO's Creative Partner, you'll be the person who shows brands, agencies, and production companies what's actually possible with AI-native production, sits next to them until they're making it happen themselves, and turns everything you learn in the field into a better product. You'll run live platform demos that make people rethink how they produce content, and you'll be the go-to expert for every client question, whether it's "how do I keep this character consistent across 20 shots?" or "how should we restructure our pitch workflow around MITO?" Because you'll see firsthand where creatives get stuck, you'll work side by side with our product and engineering teams to shape what we build next. You'll collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Production, and Product. This role is equal parts filmmaker, educator, and product shaper.
Key Responsibilities: Demos & Pre-Sales
- Lead creative platform demos for brands, agencies, and production houses, alongside Account Executives and founders
- Build tailored demo projects and spec pieces that speak directly to each prospect's brand, style, and use case
- Translate a client's creative brief into a live, working MITO workflow in front of them
Client Enablement & Creative Support
- Be the go-to expert for clients' platform and creative questions, from prompting and model selection to editing, consistency, and final delivery
- Onboard and train client teams, helping them build AI-native production workflows that fit how they already work
- Jump into client projects hands-on when needed to unblock them and show what great looks like
Product Development
- Be the voice of the creative user inside MITO, turning client feedback and your own hands-on experience into clear, prioritized product insights
- Work directly with product and engineering to design, test, and refine new features, tools, and workflows
- Identify gaps in the platform by pushing it to its limits on real creative projects, and propose concrete solutions
- Test new AI models and features before release, evaluating quality and defining how they should be integrated
- Help define best practices and default workflows that make MITO more powerful and intuitive for every user
Content & Education
- Create tutorials, templates, showcase pieces, and workflow guides that help clients and the wider community get the most out of MITO
About You:
- Creative Craft: You have 3+ years of experience as a director, editor, motion designer, VFX artist, creative technologist, or similar in film, advertising, or music videos. You have a portfolio that shows it.
- AI Fluency: You're deep into generative AI tools for image, video, and audio (e.g. Runway, Kling, Veo, Midjourney, ComfyUI, ElevenLabs) and you know their strengths, limits, and tricks from real projects.
- Product Sense: You have strong opinions about what makes a creative tool great, and you enjoy working with designers and engineers to make it happen.
- Client Instinct: You enjoy helping others succeed. Experience in agencies, production companies, pre-sales, or creative support roles is a strong plus.
- Builder Mindset: You're resourceful and autonomous, and you thrive in the ambiguity of an early-stage startup defining a new category.
Compensation & Perks:
- Competitive, market-benchmarked salary
- Hybrid setup in San Francisco — real flexibility, real collaboration
- Work directly with the founding team and an award-winning creative team
- Early access to the latest AI models and tools, and the time to actually master them
- The chance to define how the world's creative teams make films, commercials, and music videos with AI — before anyone else has figured it out
