This position is located at: Allen Memorial Library- Fort Polk, Louisiana. Duties

  • Following basic and well-established library procedures, performs duties related to circulation, acquisition, disposal of library materials, and collection maintenance and preservation.
  • This includes charging/discharging library materials, processing overdues, repairing damaged materials and explaining library policies to patrons.
  • Shelves books and materials in accordance with library SOP.

Area of Consideration This job is open to candidates in the Local Commuting area of Fort Polk, Louisiana. Local Commuting area is described as a 50-mile radius of Fort Polk to include Beauregard Parish, Sabine Parish, Vernon and Rapides parishes in Louisiana. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)
