Full job description

Swedish Medical Group seeks a full-time Orthopedic Surgeon to join Swedish Orthopedics in Ballard, Washington.

Join a collaborative team of orthopedic surgeons and advanced practice clinicians providing comprehensive musculoskeletal care to patients throughout North Seattle and surrounding communities. This position offers the opportunity to build a thriving practice within one of the Pacific Northwest's largest and most respected orthopedic programs. Candidates with expertise in General Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, or Adult Reconstruction/Total Joint Arthroplasty are encouraged to apply.

Position Details:

  • Full-time position

  • Practice based in Ballard, serving North Seattle and surrounding communities

  • Opportunity to develop a practice aligned with the physician's clinical interests and expertise

  • General orthopedic call shared among a collegial orthopedic team

  • Strong referral network supported by Swedish primary care and specialty physicians

  • Dedicated support from experienced advanced practice clinicians, clinical staff, and rehabilitation teams

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation is between $779,440 and $984,387 per year

The compensation amounts listed may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable to the position. In addition, providers may have CME benefits available to them.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery

  • Fellowship training preferred for Sports Medicine or Adult Reconstruction candidates

  • Washington State medical license or ability to obtain prior to start date

  • Strong commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care

  • Interest in serving a diverse and active patient population

  • Excellent communication and collaborative practice skills

By offering a broad range of services, including emergency medicine, primary and specialty care, and screening, diagnostic testing and imaging, Ballard serves the community with comprehensive care. In addition, the campus houses the Swedish Cancer Institute's Radiation Treatment Center, which gives patients access to state-of-the-art treatments and therapies.
