Overnight Manager Trainee

Location: 525 Titus Avenue Rochester, NY 14617 Availability Requirement for this role: Evening, Overnight (including weekends). Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older Time Type: Full time Pay Range: $25.25 - $26 / hour

Job Description: At Wegmans, our Grocery Department is the largest area of the store, housing all the products customers need to complete their meals and stock their homes with essentials. In the role of Overnight Grocery Manager, you’ll oversee the operations of the store during these hours and use strong managerial and leadership skills to ensure the overall success of the overnight team. With a keen eye for merchandising and a passion for putting out the best products, you’ll be responsible for everything from department financials to product levels to ensuring each employee is working to meet customer and store needs.

What will I do?

• Oversee and manage the entire store operation during overnight hours and maintain a presence in every department while working to ensure all merchandising departments are replenished and stocked for daytime operations
• Educate and work hands-on with team on ordering, stocking, rotating and unloading deliveries
• Responsible for the financial success of the Grocery department in partnership with the daytime Grocery Manager
• Ensure incredible service is provided during the overnight operation in all department and help to problem solve any customer concerns that arise overnight

Required Experience:

• 1 or more years of previous supervisory/coordination experience in a work setting, professional group or service-based company
• Managerial/supervisory experience that might include interviewing, selection, disciplinary action, employee development and managing financials

Preferred Experience:

• Working in a position with store management responsibilities
• Working Overnight hours
• Managing or overseeing multiple departments
• Ordering products and controlling inventory
• Work in a Grocery/retail setting
