Full job description

Company Overview Rhythm is a global, commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company committed to transforming the lives of patients living with rare neuroendocrine diseases. We develop medicines for previously untreatable or undertreated diseases. We recognize the courage it takes for patients and their caregivers to begin their journey of advocacy to find the answers they need. Their courage inspires us to challenge convention, ask bold questions and seek answers for them. Every day, we strive for excellence through our willingness to adapt, learn, and our tenacity to overcome barriers, together.

Opportunity Overview Reporting to the Director, US Patient Marketing, the Associate Director, US Patient Marketing will be a key member of the US Marketing team, supporting the development of patient- and caregiver-focused initiatives across Rhythm's US portfolio. This individual will help translate patient, caregiver, and market insights into integrated strategies and programs that address barriers across the patient journey, from disease recognition and patient identification through treatment initiation and long-term engagement. The role will engage in priority initiatives, partner closely across functions, and continuously identify opportunities to strengthen the patient experience and advance business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who learns quickly, connects complex information, and creates momentum with limited direction. This person must be comfortable working through ambiguity, anticipating needs, influencing without authority, and maintaining strong strategic and executional standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities and Duties• Partner with the Director, US Patient Marketing to develop and execute the integrated US patient and caregiver marketing strategy in alignment with brand and portfolio objectives

  • Support the development and execution of initiatives that address barriers across the patient journey, including disease recognition, education, treatment consideration and initiation, and long-term treatment engagement
  • Participate in driving high-priority patient marketing workstreams from strategic planning through implementation, optimization, and pull-through
  • Proactively identify unmet patient and caregiver needs, emerging opportunities, risks, and gaps; recommend practical solutions and drive aligned action without waiting for detailed direction
  • Translate qualitative and quantitative insights into clear implications, strategic recommendations, audience priorities, messaging, channel plans, and actionable tactics
  • Partner closely with Patient Services to align education, onboarding, support, and ongoing engagement initiatives and help create a connected patient experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including HCP Marketing, Patient Services, Patient Advocacy, Medical Affairs, Analytics, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance
  • Lead agency and vendor partners with clear strategic direction, constructive feedback, strong accountability, and disciplined management of scope, timelines, quality, and budget
  • Lead materials through legal, medical, and regulatory review, anticipating potential issues and enabling efficient, compliant approvals
  • Manage patient marketing budgets, forecasts, purchase orders, and accruals with accuracy and sound stewardship
  • Contribute to a high-performing, collaborative culture by sharing insights, raising the bar on work quality, and stepping in where needed to move the business forward

Qualifications and Skills• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred

  • 8+ years of relevant experience across any combination of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, consumer, or patient-focused marketing with at least 5 years in the biotech/pharma industry preferred
  • Rare disease experience and supporting launches are a plus
  • Experience and engagement in complex initiatives from insight and concept through execution and optimization
  • Experience leading agencies and vendors and managing budgets, timelines, and multiple concurrent priorities
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, able to balance multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong sense of curiosity and learning agility, highly proactive and inclined to be a self-starter who is able to identify areas of opportunity to make an impact
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional stakeholders and eager to seek out and respond to feedback
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time for meetings and events, based on business needs
