Full job description

The Role We’re looking for a senior technical leader to own the path from working prototype to shippable product. You’ll lead the productization team through final design decisions, harden the design for reliability and manufacturability, support customer demos and evaluations, and get us ready for volume production. This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll set direction, make hard tradeoffs, and stay close to engineering work day to day.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the productization team through final design selection, balancing performance, cost, reliability, and schedule.

  • Drive design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-reliability work, including qualification planning and failure analysis.

  • Own the readiness of customer demos and evaluation units, so what customers see works every time.

  • Partner with contract manufacturers and suppliers to prepare for volume ramp: yield, test strategy, capacity, and supply chain risk.

  • Work with leadership and customer-facing teams to shape go-to-market timing and translate customer feedback into product decisions.

  • Build, mentor, and grow the team as we scale, setting clear processes for design reviews, NPI gates, and handoffs.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years in hardware product development, with significant time leading productization or NPI teams.

  • A track record of taking complex technology (semiconductor, optical, RF, high-speed interconnect, or similar) from prototype to volume production.

  • Hands-on experience with reliability qualification, DFM, and manufacturing ramp with external partners.

  • Strong people leadership: you’ve built and managed technical teams and know how to make decisions under ambiguity.

  • Clear communication with engineers, executives, and customers alike, including presenting technical results in demos and reviews.

Nice to Have

  • Background in data center, networking, or AI hardware.

  • Experience with high-speed SerDes, advanced packaging, or millimeter-wave/sub-THz systems.

  • Prior startup experience, especially through first-product launch.

Annual Salary Range $225,000—$275,000 USD
