Full job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technology Risk Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Risk team. This role will be instrumental in developing and maintaining technology risk registers, assessing emerging technology risks, and designing automated solutions to support risk analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, deep understanding of technology risks and controls, and the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams within a dynamic financial market data environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain structured technology risk registers.

  • Ensure alignment with enterprise risk frameworks and regulatory expectations.

  • Monitor and evaluate emerging technology risks (e.g., AI, cloud, third-party, cybersecurity).

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess impact and mitigation strategies.

  • Build and maintain infrastructure to support automated risk analysis and reporting.

  • Develop scripts and tools (e.g., Python, AI agents, LLMs, SQL, C++, Shell Scripting) to streamline data collection, processing, and visualization.

  • Define, track, and report key performance and risk indicators.

  • Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate risk insights to senior leadership.

  • Partner with internal clients across technology, operations, and compliance teams.

  • Translate complex technical risk concepts into actionable business insights.

  • Leverage modern technologies including Python, AI agents, and large language models (LLMs) to solve risk-related problems.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging tools to enhance risk analytics capabilities.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

  • Mater’s Degree in Data Analytics a plus

  • 2+ years of experience in technology risk, data engineering, IT Audits, DA Audits or related roles.

  • Strong understanding of technology risk domains (e.g., cybersecurity, cloud, data privacy).

  • Experience in DevOps being responsible for the infrastructure components production, POC, and UAT environments

  • Proficiency in Python and experience with data automation and analytics.

  • Ability to write, and review code in a multiple coding languages

  • Familiarity with AI/ML tools, LLMs, and their application in risk analysis.

  • Proven experience with cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) infrastructure set up

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

  • Experience with GitHub automated code deployments

  • Experience with the CI/CD pipeline for automating workflow that builds, tests, and delivers software updates.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in financial services or market data environments.

  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, FFIEC).

  • Experience with risk management platforms or GRC tools.

  • Experience in risk related fields such as Audit and Risk Management a plus
