Pay rate is $38.07 / hr.
Shift schedule is 8 hours, M-F days
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and schedule mechanical and electrical work for the site. The Maintenance Planner will coordinate and prioritize work orders, staffing, parts availability, and maintenance strategies to drive continuous improvement in the operation and maintenance systems. The Maintenance Planner reports to the Maintenance Department Manager, and has responsibility for all maintenance work, cost, downtime, and documentation.

The Maintenance Planner will:

Ensure that your workplace is maintained in safe operating condition.

Plan and schedule maintenance work for the entire site including preventative, planned, emergency, and outage activities.

Coordinate with operations on priority setting.
-
Coordinate with other Clorox site’s maintenance planners and corporate resources on equipment and system improvements.
-
Coordinate with the Maintenance Clerk to ensure correct parts are ordered, kitted, and available for all maintenance work.
-
Track and reduce maintenance cost.
-
Maintain and update the technical database in SAP and other maintenance documentation. This includes time-based maintenance plans, equipment BOMs, work instructions, notification and order backlogs, drawings, and manuals.

Track maintenance measures and build appropriate gaps plans for improvement.
-
Identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement across all areas of maintenance.

Develop critical path schedules for all planned downtime events including maintenance outages and project installations.
-
Identify and help correct gaps in maintenance skills and staffing.
-
Maintain computer, mechanical and electrical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops, and technical reading.
-
Assist with developing training documentation and participate in the training of new maintenance team members.
-
Flow to the work as needed to support successful business operations.
-
Any other duties as assigned by management.

Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
-
Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs.
-
Use SAP to pull weekly work schedule, evaluate work orders, and escalate work as needed to ensure scheduled work is completed timely
-
Prepare daily maintenance reports using activity logs, analysis, and trends.
-
Attend daily shift meetings to discuss prioritized work orders and minimize downtime.

Facilitate meetings for maintenance down days, BDA’s, RCFA’s
-
Provide support for capital and internal projects. This includes documentation, job scopes, managing contractors, and participating in meetings.
What we look for:

Knowledge of SAP or other electronic maintenance systems

Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance work

Excellent problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle multiple priorities and fast paced change

Ability to interpret data and drive continuous improvement
-
Able to identify parts and read mechanical drawings.
-
Able to work with minimum supervision.
-
Strong attention to detail, organization, and planning skills.
-
Strong demonstrated computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet, Email) with a willingness to use tablets, previous SAP experience a plus.
-
Able to accurately utilize measuring instruments, such as calipers, rulers, measuring tape, and micrometers.
-
Able to quickly learn and understand PM and other Maintenance activities.
-
Demonstrated ability to follow purchasing guidelines.

Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Associate degree Preferred Working Conditions: The Maintenance Planner continually or frequently encounters these conditions during a shift of work. 1) exposure to dust & fine particles. 2) exposure to high noise levels. 3) exposure to moving equipment. 4) exposure to scents and odors. 5) repetitive gross and fine hand motions, including grasping, gripping and bending hand/wrist. 6) wear common protective or safety equipment (safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats. 7) work indoors, partially environmentally controlled. The Maintenance Planner occasionally or seldom encounters these conditions during a shift of work: 1) bending, twisting or squatting. 2) climb steps and ladders. 3) lifting and carrying, up to 50 lbs. 4) pushing and pulling, up to 50 lbs. 5) reach above shoulder, perform work at or above shoulder height. 6) sitting. 7) wear specialized protective or safety equipment. 8) work in an enclosed vehicle or equipment. 9) work in an open vehicle or equipment. 10) work in very hot or very cold temperatures. 11) work outdoors, exposed to weather.
