Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Peterson SFB, Colorado Springs is searching for a SCI Security Specialist to support CFC S2(GG-0080-12). Description: - Significant time in SCIF or other classified facility, ideally in an SSR, Security Manager, Facility Manager, Anti-Terrorism, or Information Protection capacity - Thorough knowledge of security practices and standards - Capability to conduct thorough research of IC & DoW publications, manuals, and memorandums in order to advise customers on a wide range of Physical Security matters - The ability to work on/coordinate with a small team of fellow security professionals - Customer service experience - Strong oral and written communication skills - The flexibility to quickly switch from one task to another - Willingness to adapt to and learn in a dynamic environment where policies and funding are fluid and ever-changing. Ideal Candidate: - Act as an advisor to SCIF occupants and owners, supporting the rapid development of the USSF's mission sets and capabilities - Travel to locations across the globe to inspect newly constructed projects and those seeking reaccreditation, ensuring adherence to Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of War (DoW) physical security standards and policies - Manage a portfolio of facilities, serving as a main point of contact for facility owners regarding facility accreditation and renovations - Protect U.S. resources from espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure and/or comprise of information or material considered vital to the organization's mission interests, national defense, and national security Key Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of a wide range of security specialties, concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices. 2. Knowledge of the intelligence enterprise to support and promote information sharing and strategies. 3. Knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs. 4. Skill in the use of analytical principles, practices, and techniques to review and evaluate security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the organization. 5. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately. 6. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
