Your Opportunity
Our Denver office is seeking a Senior Project Manager to be a contributing member of our leadership team. The successful candidate is expected to be on a Principal track as a strong people and project leader with existing client relationships that will lead to sustainable growth. The candidate should be a recognized leader in Science & Technology (S&T) markets including research universities, pharmaceutical companies, and federal government agencies such as DOE and USDA. This candidate also should have a proven focus on design excellence, project delivery, and the highest levels of client satisfaction. The position requires the ability to develop and nurture existing Stantec client relationships as well as acquire new client relationships. This role is primarily responsible for business development and project delivery, and will have responsibilities including client management, project leadership, and technical guidance to large teams.
Your Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership: Lead and partner with clients as a trusted advisor, fostering long-term relationships that drive successful project outcomes and financial success. You will be accountable for the success of the client relationship.

Team Leadership: Lead, develop and mentor high-performing project teams to improve and advance project delivery and successful outcomes. Identify and foster the talent of emerging leaders. Promote a culture of excellence inside and outside of the organization.

Top-Line Growth & Bottom-Line Performance: Collaborate with office and sector leadership to refine and implement strategic initiatives. Ensure successful project delivery, resulting in repeat opportunities with existing clients. Drive success through proactive identification and pursuit of new client targets.

Sphere of Influence: Be an active member within the communities that Stantec serves. Be known as a thought leader within the local/regional S&T market: active presence in your community including conference attendance/speaking engagements and/or active memberships in associations (such as board posts and committee memberships).
Your Capabilities and Credentials
-
A passion for S&T design and demonstrated leadership on major projects.
-
Strong business development skills, including significant experience building and maintaining productive relationships with a diverse client base.

Strong seller-doer capable of generating work and creating long-term relationships and delivering long-term value to clients for Stantec.

Demonstrated experience leading large multi-disciplinary project teams (internal and external) through all phases of project delivery.

Comprehensive understanding of project financials and risk management.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and team building skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Familiarity with Revit and Microsoft Office and ancillary ‘digital’ design tools
Education and Experience
-
Bachelor or Master’s degree of Architecture at an accredited institution is required.

Minimum of 15 years of experience with a focus on S&T projects is preferred.

License to practice Architecture in the state of Colorado is preferred.

Must have valid Drivers License and clean MVR

Pay Range:
- Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, CT, NJ, VA Areas-$113,400.00 - $170,200.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
