Description

We are looking for an Attorney to join a respected and collegial East Bay practice in California. This opportunity is well suited for a legal specialist with a strong background in insurance coverage matters or complex litigation experience who values thoughtful advocacy and practical client service. The firm offers hybrid remote flexibility, LOW BILLABLES (1600/year), and an emphasis on maintaining a sustainable workload and strong work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on insurance coverage issues by analyzing policy language, factual records, and applicable legal authority.

• Prepare clear, well-supported legal documents, including coverage opinions, pleadings, motions, and related case materials.

• Manage matters from initial assessment through resolution, keeping strategy, deadlines, and client objectives in focus.

• Conduct legal research on insurance law questions and translate findings into practical recommendations for clients.

• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, court proceedings, and other dispute-resolution settings as needed.

• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategies, evaluate risk, and support informed decision-making.

Requirements • At least 5 years of legal experience, with substantial exposure to insurance coverage matters.

• Demonstrated knowledge of insurance law and the interpretation of policy provisions.

• Ability to draft persuasive legal writing and communicate complex issues in a clear, concise manner.

• Experience handling litigation or dispute-related matters connected to insurance coverage.

• Strong analytical judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Active bar admission in good standing, or eligibility to practice in the applicable jurisdiction.
