Roving Equipment Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Roving Equipment Technician based in Pensacola, Florida, to support election processes throughout the county. This seasonal, temporary role involves on-site technical assistance, equipment setup, and logistical support at polling locations, ensuring smooth election operations. Job Responsibilities - Prepare supplies, including counting and filling envelopes, writing serial numbers, and completing forms. - Assist with loading and unloading election equipment machines at polling sites. - Support Warehouse Coordinator and IT personnel in setup, testing, and troubleshooting election equipment. - Travel county-wide to provide equipment service and support at various polling locations. - Deliver and replenish supplies and equipment as needed during the election cycle. - Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety protocols while working in fast-paced environments. - Follow directions precisely and ensure proper handling of election materials. Qualifications - Valid drivers license and ability to pass a background check. - Attention to detail and accuracy in counting and filing. - Ability to sit and stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. - Proficiency in basic computer skills and reading/writing neatly. - Capable of working individually and collaboratively. - Access to a mobile phone capable of text communication. - Safe and reliable transportationmileage reimbursed when using personal vehicle. - Dress code: Long pants and a collared shirt (polo or button-up) when working in the field. - Must be able to work in both fast and slow-paced environments, with some work involving repetitive tasks. Compensation and Benefits - Pay Rate: $16.50/hour - Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, with some weekends and longer days during election periods.
