Job Category:Academic Staff Employment Type:Regular Job Profile:Assistant Professor (CHS) Job Summary: The Department of Anesthesiology at The University of Wisconsin is recruiting a Chronic Pain Anesthesiologist. The primary focus of this position is an anesthesiologist with expertise in chronic pain patient care. Candidates for this position will primarily treat chronic pain patients 100% of time; or may be considered to split their clinical responsibilities to between the chronic pain area and providing clinical anesthesia care. Clinical and didactic teaching in pain management will be required. If appointed on the CHS track, duties will also include education and research components. The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows. The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members. This position is full or part time, 80%-100% This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.
