Salary: $50,564 - $67,086 annually

Description of Duties

This position in the Department of Environmental Services is responsible for providing financial and administrative support for the provision of County utilities and services. Duties involve overseeing activities of the Monroe County Transfer Station (Resource Recovery Facility) including monitoring vehicle and customer activity at the Facility and ensuring accurate charges, monitoring and processing account payables and receivables of solid waste contracts and agreements, and working with the annual Pure Waters levy and billing. Duties also involve back-up customer service in the resolution of account status and tax bills. Work is conducted in accordance with municipal policies and associated legislation. The employee reports directly to, and works under the general supervision of the Senior Revenue Processor or other higher-level staff member. Does related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:

(A) Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree or successful completion of at least one-hundred and twenty (120) college semester credits hours; OR,

(B) Graduation with an Associate’s degree or successful completion of at least sixty (60) college semester credit hours , plus two (2) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience performing account keeping, billing, financial record keeping, or other financially related duties; OR,

(C) Four (4) years paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience as defined in (B) above; OR,

(D) An equivalent combination of education and experience defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above.
