Employment Type: Full timeShift: Day Shift Description: Administrative Coordinator - Community Hospice Full-Time Days 445 New Karner Road
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and compassionate Hospice Administrative Coordinator to support our clinical and administrative operations. This vital role is responsible for coordinating schedules for our Hospice Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) while providing general administrative support to ensure excellent patient care and efficient office operations.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, possesses strong communication and organizational skills, and is passionate about supporting a team dedicated to providing exceptional end-of-life care.
Primary Responsibilities:
Staff Scheduling & Coordination
- Develop, maintain, and adjust daily schedules for Hospice Aides and LPNs.
- Coordinate staffing assignments to ensure patient care needs are met efficiently.
- Communicate schedule changes, call-offs, and coverage needs with clinical staff and supervisors.
Administrative Support
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls professionally and courteously.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate patient and staffing records.
- Prepare, organize, and file documents in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with processing paperwork, reports, and other administrative tasks.
- Support communication among patients, families, clinical staff, and external partners
Customer Service
- • Serve as a welcoming and professional point of contact for patients, families, and staff.
- Respond to inquiries and provide support in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and confidentiality when handling patient and employee information.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience; healthcare experience preferred.
- Previous scheduling or staffing coordination experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.

Pay Range: $19.20 - $25.58
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
