Your future role at a glance

  • Location: Wichita, KS

  • Facility: Via Christi Clinic

  • Department: Health Information Management

  • Schedule: Day Shift l Full Time, 40 hours weekly, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm

How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Retrieve clinical discharge charts and perform timely discharge reconciliation against official reports.

  • Assemble records per policy, coordinate chart binder re-distribution, and prepare files for scanning.

  • Audit medical records for completeness against departmental standards and accurately flag any deficiencies.

  • Notify responsible team members of record gaps and assist in resolving them promptly.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):

  • None Required

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences:

  • Previous HIM experience with strong attention to detail and knowledge of HIPAA standards preferred
