Kelly® Engineering is seeking a Quality Systems Coordinator for a direct-hire opportunity with a manufacturer serving motorsports and automotive customers, based out of Clover, SC. Bring your internal auditing and document control experience to a role where you can take ownership of the internal audit program while working closely with quality leadership.
Compensation
$55,000–$65,000 annually
Overview
Our client supports racing programs and automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers, combining a motorsports-focused business with the quality requirements of automotive manufacturing. This opportunity offers exposure to production operations, customer requirements, and the systems that support consistent product quality.
The Quality Systems Coordinator will maintain quality management system documentation, coordinate internal audits, and prepare production quality reports. The position is primarily desk-based, with production-floor involvement for audits, document updates, and occasional quality support. Planned hands-on training with the outgoing coordinator will help you learn the company’s processes and documentation structure.
Responsibilities

Maintain controlled procedures, work instructions, forms, and quality records, ensuring documents are current, approved, and accessible.

Process document revisions associated with approved deviations and engineering changes; distribute updated documents and remove obsolete versions from use.

Collect, verify, enter, scan, organize, and archive production quality documentation.

Maintain scrap records and prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports to support management review and analysis.

Develop and maintain internal system, process, and product audit schedules across the three-year certification cycle, ensuring coverage of applicable processes and shifts.

Coordinate approximately 17 internal auditors, assign audit coverage, track completion, and maintain auditor qualification and training records.

Conduct internal audits within the ISO/IATF quality systems environment and support ISO 14001 environmental management system activities.

Track audit findings and corrective actions, follow up on completion and effectiveness, and escalate overdue items to the Quality Manager.

Prepare audit summaries and management review materials highlighting findings and lessons learned.

Support preparation for customer and registrar audits, working with the Quality Manager, who retains responsibility for external audits.

Create and maintain statistical process control files, support gauge calibration records, and monitor tooling preventive maintenance records.

Collaborate with quality engineers, environmental management personnel, production associates, and other departments to maintain system compliance.
Qualifications

Demonstrated hands-on internal auditing experience, particularly systems audits within an ISO/IATF manufacturing environment .

Working knowledge of document control, quality system documentation, revision control, and record retention.

Ability to develop audit schedules, coordinate auditors, and track corrective actions through completion.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for controlled documents, reporting, and tracking.

Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through when managing interconnected documents and deadlines.

Comfort working with production personnel and spending time on the manufacturing floor as needed.

High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience; a college degree is not required.

Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.

Experience with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 preferred.

Familiarity with Pro-Link SPC software or GAGEtrak is helpful; company-specific systems and processes can be taught.
