Recruiter - High Volume

Description

Robert Half HR Solutions are looking for a Recruiter to lead high-volume recruitment efforts for a public transportation organization. This contract opportunity has the potential to become permanent and is ideal for a recruiter who enjoys working closely with operational teams, engaging directly with frontline talent, and driving efficient recruitment outcomes in a fast-moving environment. The role requires a hands-on approach to attracting, assessing, and onboarding candidates across a range of essential workforce functions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end recruitment activities for large-volume staffing needs across frontline and operational departments.

• Identify and attract candidates with experience in positions such as bus operators, dispatch personnel, mobility teams, administrative staff, and other essential support roles.

• Manage talent pipelines through sourcing, candidate evaluation, interviews, and offer coordination to ensure timely staffing decisions.

• Partner with team leaders and workforce teams to support pre-employment steps, onboarding tasks, and new employee integration.

• Represent the organization at recruitment events, informational sessions, facility visits, and community outreach activities to build candidate interest.

• Review employee records and recruitment data to help maintain accuracy, readiness, and compliance with organizational standards.

• Contribute to workforce transition initiatives and assist with recruitment-related activities tied to employee movement and onboarding programs.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience recruiting in high-volume environments.

• Proven success supporting large-scale staffing efforts with multiple open requisitions at once.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver a strong candidate and employee experience during onboarding and hiring activities.

• Background in transportation, logistics, manufacturing, public sector, unionized, or other operationally focused settings is preferred.

• Experience using Oracle-based recruiting platforms or comparable applicant tracking systems.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to build effective relationships across employee and leadership groups.

• Familiarity with AI-supported recruiting tools and automation platforms such as Copilot or ChatGPT.

• Ability to work onsite and collaborate directly with frontline employees and operational management.

CDL driving experience, payroll, and benefits a plus.
