You will manage a team of 3 Storeroom Technicians and align your department to seamlessly support our 24/7 continuous plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

24/7 Operations Support

  • Emergency Parts Continuity: Establish and maintain robust after-hours parts retrieval and emergency procurement procedures to guarantee uninterrupted 24/7 plant production.

  • On-Call Rotation: Participate in or manage an escalated on-call rotation schedule to resolve critical material shortages or emergency vendor dispatches during nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Shift Handover Systems: Implement clear shift-handover logs and communication channels so off-shift maintenance crews can easily locate critical breakdown spares.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Direct Supervision: Manage, train, and schedule a team of 3 Storeroom Technicians responsible for daily receiving, picking, staging, and inventory counts.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish clear KPIs for storeroom operations, including receiving turnaround times, picking accuracy, and housekeeping standards.

  • MRP System Tuning: Regularly review and adjust Material Requirements Planning (MRP) parameters—such as reorder points, safety stock levels, and lead times—within SAP to prevent stockouts while reducing carrying costs.

  • Frequent Reporting: Using SAP and Departmental documentation, you will create, represent and optimize MRO reports monthly and quarterly to Site stakeholders (internal and external).

Inventory & Turnaround Support

  • Optimize Spare Parts Inventory: Establish and maintain optimal stock levels for critical plant equipment, pumps, valves, instrumentation, and predictive/preventative maintenance kits.

  • Lead Cycle Counting Program: Direct the routine physical inventory and automated cycle counting programs to guarantee 99%+ inventory accuracy.

Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

  • Vendor Negotiations: Identify, audit, and negotiate terms with industrial distributors and specialized component manufacturers to lower the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

  • SLA Compliance: Manage team and departmental strategies to comply with Site SLAs related to MRO Material Management

Safety & Regulatory Compliance

  • EHS Adherence: Ensure the MRO warehouse complies with OSHA, EPA, and local Site safety protocols. Lead the team to optimize our space for safe and effective access to inventory materials.

Traceability: Maintain proper documentation, including material test reports (MTRs) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all incoming operational supplies

Your elements for success……

  • Associates degree required Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Engineering preferred.

  • 7+ years of work experience in a hi-volume transactional environment.

  • 5+ years of materials or inventory management experience specifically within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment preferred (chemical processing, oil & gas, or petrochemical plants highly preferred).

  • 2+ years of direct supervisory experience required management of warehouse or storeroom personnel strongly preferred

  • Hands-on proficiency with SAP S/4HANA (specifically MM and/or EWM modules) is required.

  • Advanced mechanical aptitude to enable management of specialized MRO repairable materials required
