Overview

Working across the globe, V2X builds smart solutions designed to integrate physical and digital infrastructure from base to battlefield. We bring 120 years of successful mission support to improve security, streamline logistics, and enhance readiness. Aligned around a shared purpose, our $3.9B company and 16,000 people work alongside our clients, here and abroad, to tackle their most complex challenges with integrity, respect, responsibility, and professionalism.

The Sr. ERP Solutions Analyst serves as a subject-matter owner for an assigned SAP S/4HANA functional area within MDO, such as Material Requirements Planning (MRP) or Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). This position is accountable for the health and accuracy of that area's system processes, ensuring that planning and warehouse execution are driven by sound master data, accurate transactions, and correct system settings. Each analyst holds primary ownership of an assigned area and provides backup coverage and support across other ERP Solutions areas as needed. The role supports configuration changes and serves as the system-side point of contact for the users of its area. The position works independently and cross-functionally with Integrated Planning, Material Control, Logistics and Asset Management (LAM), Supply Chain, Engineering, and Basis/IT, and sits within MDO ERP Solutions.

Responsibilities

Major Job Activities:

  • Monitor system processes within the assigned functional area, including job runs, queues, and output quality. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve failures or anomalies before they affect planning, material, or warehouse operations.

  • Monitor MRP runs and planning output, including job completion, run parameters, and output quality. Monitor material consumption against production orders, including goods issues, backflush, and consumption errors, to ensure demand and inventory are accurately reflected in MRP.

  • Monitor warehouse processes, including inbound, outbound, internal movements, warehouse tasks, and production staging. Monitor queue and interface errors between EWM and S/4HANA.

  • Periodically review master data relevant to the assigned functional area as an independent check, flagging questions and recommending changes to the owning function. For MRP, this includes lot sizing, lead times, procurement types, and safety stock settings, owned by Integrated Planning. For EWM, this includes storage types, storage bins, warehouse product data, and packaging specifications, owned by Logistics and Asset Management (LAM).

  • Monitor exception and error volume, aging, and recurring patterns within the assigned functional area, and report exception health to functional leadership. Root-cause systemic issues arising from system or data problems and drive corrections. Functional users retain ownership of working individual exceptions.

  • Support functional configuration of the assigned area and related PP, MM, and EWM settings under the direction of the Sr. Manager, ERP Solutions, including design input, testing, and documentation of changes.

  • Serve as the go-to resource for the assigned functional area and develop job aids and training for its users. Provide backup coverage and support across ERP Solutions areas, and build working knowledge of adjacent areas to support integrated processes.

  • Participate in testing, cutover, and change activities for system changes that affect the assigned functional area, ensuring results remain accurate and reliable through each change. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Skills & Technology Used:

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA in the assigned functional area (MRP or EWM) and how it integrates with adjacent PP, MM, and EWM processes. Strong understanding of manufacturing material flow, inventory control, warehouse processes, production orders, bills of material, and the master data that supports them.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify systemic issues and drive corrective actions. Strong Excel and data analysis skills. Ability to develop job aids, training, and documentation. Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to work effectively with Integrated Planning, Material Control, Logistics and Asset Management (LAM), Supply Chain, Engineering, and Basis/IT. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Material & Equipment Directly Used:

  • Computers and business systems including SAP S/4HANA (PP, MM, EWM) and Fiori, RF and mobile scanning devices, Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams), and standard office computing equipment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when supporting activities within production or warehouse areas.

Working Environment:

  • This position operates primarily in an office environment at the V2X Indianapolis facility, with periodic time in manufacturing, material, and warehouse areas. The role requires frequent interaction with planners, material coordinators, warehouse personnel, ERP Solutions staff, and cross-functional support organizations. Planning priorities and system needs may change frequently, and the Analyst must be able to work independently, evaluate competing priorities, and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Physical Activities:

  • Primarily sedentary work with frequent use of a computer and standard office equipment. Occasional walking and standing within manufacturing, material, and warehouse areas. Use of appropriate personal protective equipment while working within designated production or warehouse areas.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in material control, inventory management, production planning, warehouse operations, or production control in an SAP-supported manufacturing environment, including hands-on experience in MRP, EWM, or a comparable functional area.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.

  • Working knowledge of the master data that drives the assigned functional area and how it integrates with adjacent PP, MM, and EWM processes.

  • Demonstrated experience resolving complex material, inventory, warehouse, or ERP-related issues.

Desired Skills:

  • SAP configuration experience is desired.

Education / Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field is required. An equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • APICS/ASCM (CPIM) or SAP certification is highly desired.
