Do you want to join an organization that invests in you as a Senior Consultant Process Transformation? At HCA Healthcare, you come first. HCA Healthcare has committed up to $300 million in programs to support our incredible team members over the course of three years.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Senior Consultant, Process Transformation, you will play a pivotal role in owning work from ideation to realization – leading complex process discovery, analysis and design efforts that translate business objectives into implementation-ready operating models. Working directly with operational and clinical leaders, this role brings structure and analytical rigor to complex and often unfamiliar areas—using quantitative and qualitative analysis to understand how work is performed, identify root causes of performance issues and sources of meaningful variation, evaluate transformation opportunities and design practical future-state solutions. The ideal candidate brings a consulting-style, hypothesis-driven approach to problem solving, strong business and financial acumen, exceptional facilitation skills and the ability to move fluidly between executive-level objectives and detailed operational workflows.

This role owns multiple complex workstreams and projects, partnering with senior leadership on enterprise strategy initiatives and key project decisions. In addition to core Process Transformation responsibilities, the Senior Consultant may lead or support other priority cross-functional initiatives based on evolving needs on the Global Strategy team.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end process discovery, analysis and design for global initiatives, taking work from high-level business objectives through detailed current-state assessment and implementation-ready future-state design

  • Develop hypotheses and conduct analyses to understand workload, performance, process complexity, root causes and sources of variation

  • Facilitate working sessions with stakeholders to pressure-test findings, identify pain points and evaluate opportunities for simplification, standardization, automation and broader transformation

  • Lead development of complex models and financial / operational analyses to evaluate strategic opportunities and inform recommendations

  • Translate analysis and stakeholder input into clear current- and future-state operating models, defining roles, workflows, decision points, handoffs, requirements and key changes required for implementation

  • Evaluate transformation opportunities based on business impact, feasibility, risk and implementation complexity; develop clear recommendations and trade-offs for leadership

  • Contribute to the design and evolution of the enterprise’s global operating model, including capacity planning, footprint evolution and resiliency

  • Manage implementation risks, dependencies and change impacts; proactively resolve issues and escalate decisions requiring leadership alignment

  • Provide day-to-day peer coaching to junior members of the team, reviewing analyses and deliverables to ensure quality, consistency and timely completion

  • Independently lead multiple complex transformation workstreams / projects through completion, maintaining clear timelines, deliverables and stakeholder accountability

  • Lead priority cross-functional initiatives outside of core Process Transformation work based on evolving Global Strategy priorities

Competencies ****

  • Exceptional hypothesis-driven problem-solving skills with the ability to structure ambiguous questions, determine and execute required analyses and translate findings into actionable recommendations

  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities, including the ability to analyze operational, financial and workforce data and develop fact-based recommendations

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex operational or clinical topics into clear assessments, future-state operating models and implementation requirements

  • Exceptional facilitation skills and ability to establish credibility with operational and clinical stakeholders in unfamiliar domains

  • Strong executive presence, communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to synthesize complex analysis into clear recommendations, trade-offs and decision-ready materials

  • Ability to work through incomplete or conflicting information, reconcile differing perspectives and determine what requires further analysis, resolution or escalation

  • Intellectual curiosity and learning agility with the ability to rapidly develop expertise across unfamiliar operational and clinical domains

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels in a hybrid, multicultural environment

  • Ability to provide actionable feedback in a player / coach model and maintain a high quality bar across team deliverables

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred

  • 6+ years of experience in management consulting, business transformation, corporate strategy, process transformation, operations transformation or related discipline

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex transformation initiatives from problem definition and analysis through future-state design and implementation planning

  • Demonstrated experience developing executive-level presentations, quantitative analyses and business cases

  • Healthcare experience beneficial but not required

  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time
