The Technical Chief of Staff serves as a force multiplier for the International Customer Engineering leadership team, acting as an extension of the Director across strategic and operational priorities. This role combines technical product management, engineering fluency, stakeholder coordination, and organizational leadership. The ideal candidate can move seamlessly between engineers, technical leaders, and business stakeholders while driving important initiatives from concept through execution. Initially, the role will focus on product ownership and operational leadership for International Engineering Operations. Over time, the position is expected to evolve into a broader Chief of Staff capacity supporting multiple initiatives across the International Customer Engineering organization. What You'll Do Lead Engineering Operations Initiatives Own product management responsibilities for International Engineering Operations initiatives. Drive prioritization, planning, documentation, and execution across key workstreams. Establish clear operating rhythms, stakeholder communication, and delivery accountability. Partner closely with engineering leaders to improve visibility, alignment, and execution. Act as an Extension of Engineering Leadership Represent the engineering organization in meetings and working sessions when appropriate. Build trusted relationships across engineering, technology, and business stakeholders. Translate stakeholder feedback into actionable guidance for engineering teams. Help drive decisions, remove blockers, and advance strategic initiatives. Drive Cross-Functional Programs Support engineering health, productivity, and platform-related initiatives. Contribute to efforts involving customer support tooling, payment platforms, and other strategic technology investments. Coordinate across multiple teams and workstreams simultaneously while maintaining alignment and momentum. Leverage AI to Accelerate Outcomes Utilize AI-enabled tools to improve product management, documentation, analysis, and team communication. Create high-quality product requirements, process documentation, operational updates, and knowledge-sharing materials. Explore AI-driven proofs of concept and productivity improvements where appropriate.

We are searching for someone local to Atlanta, GA, who is willing to be onsite a few times per month.

Contract/Contract-to-Hire Roles:

Compensation: $75/hr to $85/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Prior hands-on software engineering experience with the ability to engage credibly in technical discussions. Experience in Technical Product Management, Technical Program Management, Engineering Operations, or a similar role. Strong ability to influence and lead without direct authority. Exceptional organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Experience partnering with engineering teams and technical stakeholders. Active use of AI tools to improve productivity, documentation, analysis, or development workflows. Experience as a Software Engineer who transitioned into Product Management or Technical Leadership. Experience with engineering productivity, developer experience, internal platforms, observability, or operational tooling. Exposure to solution architecture, system design, or platform strategy. Familiarity with Claude, Claude Code, or comparable AI-assisted development tools. Experience supporting geographically distributed or international teams.
