This recruitment is open to Alaska Residents only. Applicants must meet Alaska Residency Requirements in order to be considered for employment at this time.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Under general direction and supervision from the DPS Aviation Program Coordinator 2, maintains all aircraft records in accordance with FAA regulations and State retention policies. Researches and analyzes electronic logbooks for 49 aircraft operated by DPS, enters and analyzes aircraft information in sophisticated online aircraft maintenance software, maintains on-line databases for aircraft records, updates physical logbooks, and oversees aircraft paperwork storage methods. The work schedule is 5 days on and 2 days off. This position does not offer housing, nor does it offer someone living outside of Anchorage paid travel to and from the worksite.   • Aircraft Maintenance: Knowledge of aircraft engines, parts, and systems, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

  • Clerical: Knowledge of filing, typing, entering data, maintaining records, taking shorthand, and using and completing forms.

  • Computer Skills: Uses computers, software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work.
