YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Reliability Technician to join our team. This multifaceted role combines the responsibilities of a production technician and a maintenance craftsperson. This role will be responsible for enhancing the reliability and performance of our equipment while also providing operational support to the production unit. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and ensuring the safe operation of our chemical processing equipment, as well as assisting with special projects and day-to-day operational needs.

The primary responsibilities of this role, Production Reliability Technician are to:

• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on process equipment and infrastructure to ensure safety and reliable operations. Including callouts.

• Maintain compliant and reliable operations by performing preventative maintenance on equipment.

• Assist in determining the root causes of equipment failures and collaborate with engineering teams to develop reliable solutions.

• Partner with the maintenance engineers to recognize bad actors and execute corrective actions.

• Provide ongoing support for area process, maintenance, and contractor-related activities, ensuring operational needs are prioritized and completed.

• Upskill the production team on maintenance skills and abilities.

• Work closely with maintenance and production teams to perform tasks safely and efficiently.

• Maintain the qualification of the process unit to provide support as needed.

• Maintain the qualification of a maintenance craft.

• Utilize SAP to track maintenance activities.

• Partner with the unit Go-To to validate and scope work.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.

• Qualified in the Form N Unit or will work towards qualification (18 months).

• Qualified in a maintenance craft or will work towards qualification (18 months).

• Demonstrated ability to complete maintenance activities on industrial equipment with the capacity to learn specialized maintenance skills.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, time and task management, and decision-making skills.

• Self-motivated with a proven ability to take ownership of responsibilities, drive tasks to completion, and deliver results without direct oversight.

• Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials (up to 60 lbs)

• Capability of working in various conditions, including confined spaces and at heights.

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials.

• Ability to frequently walk and stand, and be exposed occasionally to dirt, dust, fumes, heat, and noise.

• Ability to work a full eight-hour day within a flexible schedule (6am-5:30pm) and provide after-hours support during peak periods as needed.

Posting will be available through September 25, 2026.

Employees can expect to be paid an hourly rate of $37.83 - $43.96. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).
