This vacancy is located in the Caddo Parish Child Welfare Office located in Shreveport, LA.

We’re looking for an Administrative Coordinator 1/2/3 to serve as the first point of contact at the agency in our Child Welfare Office in Shreveport creating a welcoming environment for clients and visitors and providing administrative support that keeps our front office running smoothly.

This position provides clerical, programmatic, and administrative support functions for staff and clients of the Caddo Parish Child Welfare office.

  • Provides clerical support to the Child Welfare parish office.
  • Greets visitors and obtains pertinent information to direct individual to appropriate staff
  • Answer multi-line phone system, screen and route calls, keep logs of visitors and calls
  • Process all incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Maintain regional phone listing
  • Assists with other duties as assigned by supervisor

Position-Specific Details: Location: This vacancy is located in the Caddo Parish Child Welfare Office in Shreveport, LA.

Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG) and may be filled as an Administrative Coordinator 1, 2, or 3. The level at which the vacancy is filled will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series.

Compensation: The actual starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.

Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.

Louisiana HB 420 requires all prospective DCFS employees to complete and clear multiple background clearances prior to employment with this agency.
