Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Specialist

Full-Time | 4x10s, Days | Naples, FL

Join a high-volume, rapidly growing Cardiac Catheterization Lab supporting a leading healthcare system in Naples. During peak season, this team performs a high volume of complex cardiovascular procedures daily, creating a fast-paced and highly technical environment. Qualifications

Required (must meet one of the following pathways):

  • Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology and CCI certification (RCIS preferred) within 90 days of hire OR

  • Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology and 6 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist with CCI certification (RCIS preferred) within one year of hire OR

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT (R) registered, and licensed as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in the State of Florida

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in the Cath Lab

  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification within one year of hire

  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Windows)

  • Ability to work rotating on-call (10-12 days in a 6-week scheduling period)

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure procedural environment and adapt to shift work

Preferred:

  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification

  • IABP certification preferred

  • Experience with coronary intervention, peripheral intervention, electrophysiology studies, and advanced imaging techniques

Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures in scrub and monitoring roles

  • Maintain sterile field, anticipate needs, and prepare invasive devices

  • Monitor patient status and report changes to cardiologists and nursing staff

  • Assist in patient care within scope of practice

  • Administer medications safely during procedures

  • Practice and maintain radiation safety standards

  • Participate in pre-procedure verification and timeouts

  • Document procedures accurately, including supply usage and procedural details

  • Operate and troubleshoot imaging and interventional equipment

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support quality patient outcomes

  • Complete patient care assignments within designated shifts

  • Participate in quality improvement and unit-based initiatives

  • Maintain required registry data such as Cath-PCI and ICD

  • Float between campuses to support departmental needs

  • Fulfill rotating on-call and holiday schedule requirements as assigned

  • Maintain current knowledge and competencies in cardiovascular technology
