Job Description

The Kitting Specialist is responsible for accurately counting, cutting, measuring, folding, or otherwise modifying raw materials according to directions found in the Device Master Record. This role involves performing inspections and documentation in compliance with QS & GMP policies, as well as conducting on-line inspections of each device produced. The specialist will seal products in their final packaging, prepare packaged work for sterilization, and maintain inventory control procedures. Additionally, the Kitting Specialist will ensure facility cleanliness and adhere to Clean Room etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Count, cut, measure, and modify raw materials as per Device Master Record.

• Complete inspections and documentation of quantities and control numbers following QS & GMP policy.

• Perform on-line inspections of devices and report issues to Production Supervisor.

• Seal products in final packaging configuration using appropriate procedures and machine settings.

• Prepare packaged work in progress for sterilization and document control numbers.

• Maintain proper inventory control procedures including product staging, segregation, and rotation.

• Perform scheduled facility cleaning and document as per QS.

• Understand and conform to Clean Room etiquette.

• Contribute to team efforts by completing assigned projects.

• Communicate and collaborate with production, purchasing, quality, and senior management.

• Meet objectives of the quality management system and recommend improvements.

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.

• Proficiency in kitting and assembly.

• Capability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in packing and assembling.

Work Environment

This position operates in a clean room environment where employees will wear smocks, hair nets, shoe covers, gloves, and other protective gear provided by the company. The working hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grapevine, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
