Neuro-focused, functional caseloads We're looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist who believes the most meaningful therapy happens beyond the clinic-in the real-life environments where communication, cognition, and confidence are rebuilt. You'll support individuals with neurological diagnoses as they improve speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills. Through compassionate, evidence-based care, you'll help patients and families develop strategies that strengthen communication, independence, and quality of life at home and in the community. Responsibilities What you will do: Responsibilities listed include but not limited to: 1. Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans of patients with speech, language, cognitive and swallowing disorders 2. Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences 3. Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources 4. Communicate patient's needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family members 5. Communicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes Qualifications What you will need: 1. Minimum of a Master's Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology program 2. Valid Speech Language Pathology license in the state(s) of practice 3. Current CPR Certification 4. A minimum of one year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist 5. Demonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury preferred 6. Communicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactions 7. Ability to lift 50 pounds 8. Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety procedures 9. Duties require fine motor skills,visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periods 10. Additional physical requirements include:pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times 11.
