Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Hyperscale Structured Cabling Design Engineer to lead the design and integration of high-density structured cabling systems for large-scale data center environments. This individual will be responsible for architecting fiber and copper infrastructure that supports hyperscale computing, AI workloads, cloud environments, and next-generation network deployments. The ideal candidate combines deep structured cabling expertise with a strong understanding of data center mechanical and electrical environments, ensuring designs are scalable, efficient, and aligned with industry and hyperscaler standards. Responsibilities Design & Engineering

  • Architect end-to-end structured cabling solutions utilizing single-mode and multimode fiber, MPO/MTP high-density trunks, and Cat6/Cat6A copper infrastructure.

  • Develop detailed construction documentation including floor plans, rack elevations, pathway layouts, cable schedules, and splicing diagrams.

  • Design overhead and underfloor pathway systems while calculating fill ratios, cable loads, bend radius compliance, and future capacity requirements.

  • Create scalable cabling architectures supporting hyperscale, enterprise, colocation, and AI data center environments. Cross-Functional Integration

  • Partner with MEP, facilities, and data center engineering teams to coordinate cable routing and infrastructure placement.

  • Ensure cabling solutions integrate seamlessly with hot aisle/cold aisle containment, liquid cooling, and other advanced thermal management systems.

  • Collaborate with network architects to support spine-and-leaf architectures and future network expansion strategies. Documentation & Quality Assurance

  • Produce accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and cost estimates.

  • Review contractor submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.

  • Ensure all designs comply with BICSI, TIA/EIA, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, and customer-specific standards.

  • Support quality assurance efforts during installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Skills and Requirements
